Red Devil 0878 Wallpaper Seam Repair Adhesive, EZ Squeeze Clear

I was hoping for something with a little more immediacy.  I've used rubber cement to repair wallpaper seams and although it does not hold up over time, the immediate result is faster and easier.  The adhesive takes too long to grip.  The area that I was able to put wax paper over it and then a ruler and brace that with a long dowel rod was fine.   However most wallpaper seams are not easily accessible for clamping ie. bracing such as I did.   So this works but it's hardly spectacular  at a price of $8.10 at Amazon . Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Puppy's Smart Train

Computer chips are an amazing thing.   This toy provides a robust multi-media experience.   The voices are so darn cute, the colors so bright, the songs are catchy.  This will catch the eye of the most active child.  It moves, sings, makes noises and has levels for as the child ages.   The toy has Fisher-Prices levels, one, two and three in the same toy.   (Explore, Encourage and Pretend)   This is a toy that looks as if it will have a surprising longevity from 6 months to 36 months. It needs two batteries and thank you Fisher-Price for including them. ·                         Press the smokestack to activate motorized action, lights and sounds ·                         Motorized train encourages crawl-along fun ·                         50+ learning songs, tunes and phrases ·                         Manual switch for Smart Stages level changes ·                         Includes Puppy, Monkey and Froggy rattle figures - just the right size for baby's hand

Thomas And Dinosaurs: Perfect Mix For Kids

It seems as if every kid likes dinosaurs and every kid seems to like Thomas the Tank Engine.    This toy combines both into one play set.    A caution though, the die-cast engines and vehicles are not the same as the "regular" Thomas.   The quality is every bit is good, frankly I like the die cast better but... combining the wood with the die cast is not seamless.    With that said, this is a nice set that should thrill the toddler in your life.  The box even has a nice handle which will make keeping the parts together somewhat easier.  The recommended age is 3+ but I have seen kids both older and younger playing with Thomas.   It needs two AA batteries and thank you Fisher Price for including them.  Sturdy die-cast engines and vehicles ·             Magnets let you attach other engines or tenders (sold separately and subject to availability) ·             Fun Features and sound effects ·             Faithful likenesses to characters from Thomas & Fri

FIOS Successfully Decreases TV Watching

FIOS's abysmal selection of on-demand movies and shows has allowed me to read one more book a week.   I went to their "FREE"  movie selection and discovered that there were very few actually FREE movies.  Most were tied to upgrading my service.   FIOS uses three months of premium service to encourage you to change from Comcast.   I can see why, without the premium service their selections are dreadful.   At the end of the three months "trial" premium services they offer you a deal at $24.95 to continue the premium service.   The claimed cost saving from switching from Comcast to FIOS are basically non-existent and adding $24.95 per month adds insult to injury. FIOS is a huge disappointment.   It does not save me money and the viewing selection is far inferior to Comcast plus the additional fee for virus protection.  I never dreamed I would ever say, "I miss Comcast!" but I just did.

Banana Boat for Men Triple Defense SPF 30, 6 Ounce

I'm not sure how to review sunscreen.  Do you do one arm and not the other and see how well it works.  I wore this for eight hours today on the golf course.  I see no signs of sunburn.  So it works as far as sun screening.   As far as the manly aroma, it smell like sunscreen and I really couldn't detect anything manly about the aroma.   This does the job and is priced competitively.   ·                         Contains an odor neutralizing ingredient with a manly scent ·                         Combined with active protect to keep you protected as the sun's rays intensify ·                         Keeps you dry and smelling clean even when you are sweating ·                         Enriched with aloe vera and vitamin E ·                         Broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection If reviewing a product, it may have been received free of charge. Gro-Egg Color Changing Digital Room Thermometer

This is pretty nifty and after reading the literature it seems sensible.   It makes sense that room temperature can exacerbate a fussy baby's fussiness.   I get grumpy and don't sleep well if I am too warm or cold.    I never had a thermometer in my children's rooms.    The color changing aspect makes it very easy to glance (very quietly for you newbie parents) into the babies room and see what the temperature might be.    The digital readout gives a precise temperature but the color coding makes for both easy long distant viewing and a pretty night light.    It seems a bit pricey at $32.00 but if it means the baby might have a better chance sleeping through the night it is probably worth it. (Most parents have had times when they would have spent any sum to get a good nights sleep.) From the Vendor: Gro-Egg Color Changing Digital Room Thermometer is an egg-shaped thermometer that determines the temperature of baby's room and lets the you know whether it is

Larabar Renola Grain-Free Granola, 18.75 Ounce

This looks like it is packaged to be a snack.  It is quite tasty and does make a good and handy snack.  It would fit easily in the side pocket of your golf bag or in your back pack.  It is crunchy but not tooth breaking crunchy.  I see myself also using it as a cereal enhancer for the bland, good for your but tasteless cereals.  Only down side seems to be the 200 calories but they are 200 good tasting calories.  The vendor says:The street corners of big cities are sprinkled with vendors selling warm, cinnamon-coated nuts and our cinnamon nut is reminiscent of this delicious treat. Almonds, pecans, and cashews are mixed with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and raisins, and we toss it all together with cinnamon and smooth vanilla extract for a true taste of downtown. Frankly not being a city person I would skip the true taste of downtown suggestion as to me the true taste of downtown is auto exhaust.  The vendor needs to come up with a better slogan.   If

Lizzy Hale and Eric Church That's Damn Rock n Roll

The beauty of a blog is you can pretty much post what you know or want or feel.  I saw this last night on the Country Music Festival.  This is the version I found on YouTube from the CMA awards.   The song lyrics are evocative of a generation.   Lizzy Hale pounds passion into her performance.   Never thought I would be so impressed from anything in the CMA.  Goes to show you even old dogs can learn to like new music! Another FIOS SNAFU

Verizon wants me to verify my email address.  They send me an email and I respond with the link in their email.  It opens a screen that wants my zip code.  I give them my zip code and they tell me that isn't the zip code they have on file for me.  I got to my account information and I am putting in the same zip code that they have on file but they keep telling me that isn't my zip code.   I researched this online and found that people have been complaining about this for YEARS!  As much as Comcast drove me crazy, FIOS is driving me Crazier!  I tried to find a contact or chat to get a solution and got nothing but an automated attendant!  I finally found that Verizon has put technical support on Facebook and Twitter.  Now there is a decision to be proud of.  Keep in mind that a great many people who actually have FIOS don't use Facebook or Twitter.  After playing message tag with various supposed support staff, I figured out the solution.  Negative Kudos to FIOS fo

Goodbye Dad, The Funeral, A Picture Book Explaining Funerals by William G. Bentrim

Funerals are part of life.   As adults we have a basic understanding of what occurs when there is a funeral.   Children do not have that luxury.   This book tries to explain what a funeral is and what happens at a funeral.   It is non-denominational and does not deal with the grief that normally accompanies a funeral.   This book just tries to explain the basic aspects of a funeral from the perspective of a ten year old boy who just lost his father.  Five Stars   A wonderful book for the grieving young.... ,   July 22, 2014 By  Janet hooker This review is from: Goodbye Dad: The Funeral: Funerals Explained To Kids (Kindle Edition) A great book for young people who have recently experienced a death of a family member. An easy to read and understand story of a young boy and his inability to understand the concept of planning a funeral, dealing with grief, and his feeling that he must be the 'man of the house' for his mother. An honest and kind look at funeral director
