Sabrent 10W qi Wireless Fast Charger Charging Pad, Universally compatible with all qi enabled phones [AC Adapter Not Included] Space Gray (WL-QIFC-GRY) I plugged this into a charger leftover from an S4.  It started right up.  It works with my S8 and is slim enough to be easy to pack.  I really like it. Later: I still like it but you have to be careful when you put your phone on it.  Location, location, location!  I wait to see the little star burst that your phone shows for charging as if it is slightly off center, it doesn’t charge. Yale Assure Lock Push Button Keypad with Z-Wave, Satin Nickel - Works with Your Smart Home, Including SmartThings and Wink (YRD216ZW2619)

I’m always conflicted on how to be fair on some complex products.  I like the idea and concept behind the product.  However it is possible that a different viewpoint would find this superior to my own.   I found the Bilt app for three D installation help to be cute but not really helpful.  Sadly I’m old school and like detailed written instructions.  I found the instructions lacking.  The build quality seems very durable but the installation more complex than comfortable.   I also saw that the lock can be easily picked by someone willing to search for as hack online.   Overall, quality is good, instructions are mediocre and complex.   Perhaps after installing two or three of these I would like it but with installation of one, I did not.  My old mechanical deadbolt is back on the door.  From the vendor: ·                         Lock, unlock, see current status, receive notifications and manage pin codes with compatible Z-Wave smart home or alarm systems including SmartThi

Samsung S8 and Disappearing Messaging Notification Sound

BTW Happy St. Paddy's Day! Not original idea but it worked! Recently my S8 stopped providing me with a sound when I received a text message.   Needless to say this was highly annoying as I constantly had to check and see if I had gotten a text.  I spent several hours trying all of the fixes online to no avail.   I found a safe mode suggestion thru T-Mobile.  https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-34283 I did not know how to get to safe mode.  When in safe mode all of the apps not necessary to run the phone are grayed out.   I listed them and then started to delete them one by one with a reboot in between.  I got bored and started deleting several and then rebooting so I don’t know which app was the villain but after one final reboot I had my sound notification back.   I reinstalled things like Uber and Lyft but several which I never used anyway I left off.   Sound is still working so that is good news.   I am new to Comcast for my cellular plan.  The Comcast
