Samsung ML-1865W Monochrome Laser Printer with 1200 x 1200dpi Resolution, Black for $56.00 at Buy.com

This is an excellent price for any laser printer.   I sold some Samsung lasers when I had my computer business and they worked just fine.   This price is excellent but keep in mind what you are getting.    It will give great print quality but no color.   The toner cartridge is $59 at buy.com and $63.95 at Staples and yields 1500 pages.    A typical black ink cartridge for a typical inkjet printer yields 400 pages   for a $20.00 cartridge.    Do the math, roughly $80.00 for 1600 pages   vs. $60 for 1500 pages.   Keep in mind that page yield is often considered 5% coverage which is a bit ludicrous.    So in spite of the fact that a laser printer at $56 is a crazy price it may not be a good fit for you.    I did not find any compatible toner cartridges for the Samsung (there may be some, I just didn’t find one.) and I use compatible cartridges for my inkjet printer that cut the ink cost by 50%.  ...

Kodak C195 Point and Shoot Digital Camera

As much as I love the swivel screen on my Canon PowerShot A95, the camera is getting a bit long in the tooth. 5 mega pixels was a big deal, once. Now it is so so but I would keep on using it for that delightful swivel screen except that is getting a bit squirrelly. Not good squirrelly either. Sometimes the first picture or so isn’t even seen on screen and it doesn’t come out either. So I did some research and found a great price and a camera that is just enough smaller that it fits into my jeans or my shirt pocket. Convenience size was my first consideration. The 14 megapixel and the 5X optical were nice bonuses. It has some very nice features that I will seldom use but are nice anyway. It has 22 scene settings for specific types of photos. Realistically I will leave it on auto most of the time but I liked both the scene settings and manual settings. I’ve only taken a couple hundred photos so far but I have been satisfied with the quality. Overall this is a darn good bang for the ...

Nice 20” LCD Monitor/Nice Price $206.00 with free shipping.

Envision Professional Series G2016wa2 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 1000:1, 5ms, 1680x1050, HDCP Supported DVI-D - Black - G2016WA2 A buddy’s monitor died last week. He called for some troubleshooting ideas and after I had him connect it to his laptop and still no picture he decided a 5 year old monitor was due for replacement. I found this one at buy.com and recommended it to him. The three year warranty is pretty standard these days but I still like to insure it is included. It is. He did not pay for expedited shipping and got it next day anyway. He hooked it up and so far he loves it. He loves it even more now that the $30 rebate he got last week is off in June. Regardless, the price is pretty darn good for a nice monitor. However since the rebate disappeared you may also want to look at the BenQ G2000W 20.1" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 1680 x 1050, 1000:1, 5ms, DVI for $194.00 with free shipping.
