Microsoft Windows 10 Repair Disk Surprise, ONLY USE a CD

My feelings on OS upgrades! After installing Win10, I did a system image and then tried to do a repair disk.  Note making a system image is not as self evident in 10 as it was in early versions but there are some good videos on Youtube that detail where to find the commands.   There did not appear to be any documentation stating that when using a disc you have to use a CD, you can not use a DVD.   I tried to create a repair disc with multiple types of DVD's to no avail.  I got an error message telling me the disc was not empty.  I formatted the DVD's multiple times, checked to see they were empty and still they did not work.  On a complete flyer, I put a CD in and the repair disc worked just fine.  I did not try a USB drive but this is just a heads up for the rest of us who happened to have DVD's handy and had to look for a CD.  Now all I have to do is find out why my Windows 7 machine continues to lock up when trying to update it.  (Yes it is a totally le

Fisher-Price Soothe and Glow Bunny

This toy is cute.   The little bunny shape is easy to grasp by an infant.   Not counting the ears it is approximately 9" tall and 4.75" wide by 3" thick at the widest spot.    The music is gentle and soothing.    The belly lighting up is also cute.    My overall perception is positive.    The batteries are installed by opening the velcro sealed back.   The screw took way too much force to get it to back out.   Once the back was open it was easy to install the batteries.   The inner workings are surprisingly bulky and this detracts from the cuddle factor.    This little fellow should be well received by most young babies. From the vendor: ·                         Plays up to 15 minutes of soothing music ·                         Soft, cuddly and soothing with a calming, glowing belly ·                         Baby activates music with a gentle squeeze, introducing cause & effect ·                         Soft, plush fabrics with teal accents ·

Phantom Aquatics Cancun Mask Snorkel Combo

This set would have gotten higher marks if I hadn't just reviewed the Phantom Aquatics Legendery Mask Fin Snorkel Set with Mesh Bag set.   After reviewing the more expensive set it is hard to like this one.   The mask did not fit as well and the snorkel did not close off completely when I went under water.   The more expensive set from the same company did a much, much better job.  The clarity of the mask in the better set was far superior.  So for this set at Amazon for $25 ish and the other at $55 ish I would highly recommend the more expensive set.  Now in fairness this set was not bad it just wasn't as good as their better set. From the vendor: ·                         Comfort fit liquid silicone skirt for water-tight seal ·                         Low internal volume silicone mask ·                         Double Feathered Edge Silicone Skirt ·                         Speed Clip Buckles, Adjust Quick and Easy ·                         Semi-dry top

GolfBuddy BB5 Golf GPS LED Band, Black/Silver

This is a nice multifunction tool.  It gives you front, back and center of the green. It also allows you to dispel the myth that golf has no exercise.  The pedometer feature allows you to see how many times you waded into the rough.  Seriously it does measure your footsteps and lets you see how much walking you actually did.   It is sleek and good looking.   The down side is that it is hard to read.  The display is bright enough to see in the sunlight and that is a very good feature as some of the golf gps units are practically invisible in the bright sun.   The down side is that the display is coarse.  I don't know the size limits on LEDs but they are too big so there is a lot of space between the lights.  That makes is somewhat difficult to read, not impossible but not easy to read.  The brightness factor may balance off the difficulty reading, seeing it in the bright sunlight even if you have trouble reading it is better than the invisibility many of it's competitor h

Scotts S20210 SYNC Lithium-Ion Cordless String Trimmer, 20-volt

This comes with some assembly needed.  The assembly was simple and did not need instructions, it was pretty self evident.   I really like the adjustable length of the shaft, that is a huge feature.  The handle also rotates so you can tilt the trimmer to edge and still have the handle on the horizontal plane.  That, too, is a very good feature.  It is no bump to extend the line and I was a bit concerned about that but it worked fine.  You let up on the trigger and it magically seems to extend, not sure how it works but it does.   The plus factor of the lithium battery should be self evident.  I have not had enough trimming to run it down and it seems to charge rather quickly.  Overall, this is an excellent tool. From The Vendor: 2-in-1 shaft for trimming or edging; adjustable length with 180 degree rotation for easy edging 20V 2.0 Amp Hour Lithium-Ion battery On-tool battery power fuel gauge Innovative charging station; .080" twisted line Includes: SCOT

Never Forget!

Fruit of the Loom Men's 6 Pack Crew T-Shirt These are very nice undershirts.  The length is great, I hate when they are too short.  The fit is what I would expect.  I would say a very good value for the money, $15.19 for a six pack at Amazon.  ·                         100% Cotton ·                         Imported ·                         Machine Wash ·                         No ride-up, stays tucked ·                         New 100 percent ever soft cotton fabric ·                         Collar keeps its shape wash after wash ·                         Tag free for all-day comfort ·                         Soft covered seams on neck and shoulders If reviewing a product, it may have been received free of charge. That will NEVER have a bearing on my recommendations.

PUMA Rio Speed Nylon Classic Sneaker

These are without a doubt the lightest sneakers I have ever owned.  You have to look down to see if you have anything on your feet.  In spite of the light weight, the support seems good and they are very comfortable.  I like the looks but that could be the "retro" aspect.  The neon colors, the plastic look, the strange shapes of many of the "current" sneakers do not appeal to me.  $20.00 on Amazon for a name brand sneaker.  ·                            Leather and synthetic ·                            Imported ·                            Rubber sole ·                            Retro-reminiscent low-cut sneaker with leather overlays and PUMA Formstripe ·                            Removable foam-cushioned antimicrobial insole ·                            Herringbone-treaded sole ·                            Contrast logos If reviewing a product, it may have been received free of charge.
