OXO Good Grips Extendable Twister Snowbrush

Ok, if you would have told me I would spend $20.00 for a car snow brush, I would have thought you were nuts.    They used to give the darn things away which probably dates me more than I want to admit.   This is by far the nicest snow brush I have ever owned. This brush has a hefty, well built feel to it.    The telescoping feature allows you to reach the middle of the widest SUV windshield.    Hmm, well I am 6’2 so maybe it won’t enable everyone to reach the middle of the windshield but most people.    It has a swivel brush head to allow you to pull snow back rather than sweep it down.   The brush isn’t a wimpy softy type brush but a rather stiff strong brush.    In addition this thing would deter most muggers, it is that sturdy!   I think this is a very good snowbrush.    If reviewing a product, it may have been received free of charge. That will NEVER have a bearing on my recommendations.

Micro HDMI to HDMI For ACER Iconia 700A

15 ft Premium GOLD Plated Micro HDMI to HDMI Cable for HTC EVO 4G, Motorola Droid X and other portable devices with Micro HDMI port.    This cable was purchased to hook my tablet to my TV.   The cable works and it was only $6.98 including shipping at Amazon.    $30.00 was the price at our local stationary giant store.    I got a nice clear picture of my home screen and browser using this cable.    I was not able to get video but I suspect (I will find out.) that the Android Jelly Bean lack of flash inhibited my video viewing.    More research on my part will be needed to figure that out.    However the cable works just fine.   ·                      Supports full 1080p HD video ·                      Allows compact devices to have all the benefits of HDMI ·                      Share movies and photo slideshows from your phone to your HDTV for all to see ·                      Connect to HDMI equipped displays for educational and business pr

NEW 6FT Digital Audio Optical Fiber Cable Toslink SPDIF

The price on this cable was beyond silly.   $0.56 for the cable and $2.98 for shipping was the grand total.    The cable is decent quality and the sound coming from the sound bar is good.   I’m   not an audiophile so I’m sure I am offending someone with my willingness to hook my sound bar up to my TV with a cheap cable.    The only thing I can say is that it works and frankly I just bought it to see if it worked better than the RCA connection and it did.    I got this at Amazon.      If reviewing a product, it may have been received free of charge. That will NEVER have a bearing on my recommendations.

HASBRO ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS JENGA DEATH STAR Game

This is NOT a learning game unless learning the necessary artillery arc from a catapult is part of your lesson plan.    The catapult has surprising range.   The "death pig" is easy to assemble.   This entertained both my son and grandson. Shop around, this was $30.00 at Kmart and $55.00 at Amazon.  Both are overpriced but it was a well received gift.   If reviewing a product, it may have been received free of charge. That will NEVER have a bearing on my recommendations.

Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Caller ID Model# D1760

This is our third uniden phone.    I have been happy with the battery life, the durability and the ease of programming.    The speaker phone could be a touch louder but overall it is a nice phone.    Caller Id is becoming more and more important as the direct marketing folks continue to ignore the "do not call" list.   Too bad this doesn't hang on the wall but you can't have everything and the price was great at $20.00. Product Specifications: The D1760 DECT 6.0 Caller ID Cordless Phone offers superior clarity, security and range. Up to 50 names can be stored on the caller ID list, and 100 names and numbers can be stored in the phonebook. Use the silent mode to quiet all ringers and incoming messages. This cordless phone also features a handset speakerphone, and ECO mode, which gives longer battery life, and 12 handset expandability for added convenience. Mr. Heater Hero Forced Air Propane Heater 30,000-60,000 BTU/Hr. MH60CLP

I probably shouldn’t write reviews right after unsuccessfully testing a product.    Feeling is starting to come back to my fingers but it is slow.    I read manuals.   I read them multiple times with products I am unfamiliar with as opposed to computer related stuff where I have a high comfort factor.   Propane is flammable and not so good to breathe so I read this manual several times through before connecting anything. The connections were straight forward.   The admonishment to fully charge the battery was quite clear as well.    It looked pretty clear cut.    I charged the battery.   I connected the gas line to the tank and to the heater.    I turned on the fan which again you are cautioned to do, I did like all the cautions.    I let the fan run a bit and then I “slowly, this is another admonishment, pushed the orange starter button down.    The heater ignited, I got startled and the heater went out.    I tried again and this time was prepared for the sudd

Acer ICONIA Tab A700-10k32u 10.1-Inch Tablet

I researched tablets thoroughly and Samsung is the only other tablet in this size that I considered.   Both tablets had the 1920x1200 resolution but the Samsung tablet did not have a functional USB port.   I don’t have a strong use for a functional USB port but I like the flexibility it provides.    I have tried a USB keyboard on the Acer and it worked just fine as long as you remember you aren’t dealing with a Microsoft OS.    I tried a 1TB USB drive on the Acer and it also worked fine.    I have not gotten a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable yet to test that feature.    The tablet has a great display.   I’m not a big watcher of video on my tablets but I tested this and it passed with flying colors.    I play some word games, check my email, do some surfing and basically use it as a really portable laptop.    I plan on testing the HDMI and will report on that when the test is accomplished.   I snagged a 32gb microSD card for the tablet which gives me 64gb of stor
