Power Wheels Disney Princess Jeep Wrangler by Power Wheels

Fantastic Christmas Present
Power Wheel Photo
First this is really cute.  Surprisingly it was not as difficult to assemble as I expected.  Kudos to Fisher Price/Mattel/Power Wheels for providing clear, easy to read instructions.  Photos could have been a little bigger but compared to most things I end up assembling, these instructions were terrific.  The font was actually readable.  No clue why so many manufactures provide instructions and or assembly information in a font smaller than the now historic phone books.   There was one moment of abject panic when I could not find the steering column.  It was taped to the back of the roll bar and it was underneath said rolling bar.  Otherwise the assembly went well and the decals weren’t too bad.   Decal application was surprisingly tedious or from experience, hardly surprising.   They don’t put them on as the labor cost would add significantly to the price of the toy. I have not gotten a kid reaction yet but I expect it to be quite positive.

A feature which is not emphasized but probably should be is the speed restrictor.  It has a speed restrictor which they recommend not be removed until the child becomes adept at using the vehicle.  Now we aren't talking any crazy fast speeds and if your kid is reckless  you may never want to provide a little more get up and go.   It struck me as a good feature.

Samsung FlipShot-ho hum

I just got the Samsung FlipShot aka SCH-U900. If you haven’t noticed by now, I am very family oriented, specifically focused on grandchildren. I frequently lament that I don’t have my camera on me. However, I always have my phone on me. Thusly I wanted a phone with a decent camera. The FlipShot comes close. Samsung claims it is a 3 megapixel camera with flash and zoom. The photos are not what I would consider decent from a digital camera but compared to my last phone/camera, they are much better. The phone has a slot for a micro sd memory card. I popped a 2gb card in there for saving my photos. I have not been able to find a way to default the photos to the memory card. You have to manually move them. I haven’t given up and perhaps in a software upgrade there will be a way to get them to the card without moving them manually. Getting them off of the phone is interesting. If you don’t buy Samsung’s charging/data cable, you can send them to yourself and get them on your pc that way. You
