Verizon’s Bogus Coverage Claims

My intent isn’t for this blog to become a cell phone rant fest. However looking at my past few posts, I am beginning to wonder if that is where I am going. I keep reading these great articles about how AT&T service is horrible and how great Verizon’s cellular coverage is. One article at PC World  was very convincing on why you should switch to an Android based phone and choose Verizon for your cellular coverage. I can only say, "Come stand in my front yard and see what kind of vaunted Verizon coverage you get. It just ain’t here!"

Please note that I do not, repeat do not live in a cave or some kind of remote area. I am in a populous suburb in not so rural Bucks County, PA. When I went to the unofficial but nevertheless labeled Verizon Wireless store with the Droid Incredible I returned I could not get one bar of service consistently. The clerk told me that they don’t have good signal strength at that location. The store is in the county seat of Bucks County hardly a bucolic bumpkin village and yet the vaunted Verizon coverage is weak at best.

So for the record, Verizon your cellular coverage does NOT measure up to your advertised performance.

same problem here. My husband's Verizon drops the ball, I mean call, around 10 times a day. This is not an exaggeration either. My iPhone, about that many in the two or three years I have owned it!

I haven't had a gas powered weed wacker for several years.   I still find the mixing of gas and oil a pain in the butt.   Since all my gas cans are in use and I didn't want to empty one to test this, I bought a new one gallon can.   The Remington includes a starter can of oil, 3.2oz which you mix with one gallon of gas.   I'm a direction reader so after reading them several times I began.  I installed the shield and repositioned the handle.   Pretty simple and wing nuts are not just goofy people, these wing nuts worked just fine.   It has a primer bulb which you depress ten times and then adjust the choke and pull away.   It is a very light pull and it started after the third sequence  of five pulls.   You leave it warm up and then you are ready to go.   The bump head that is supposed to release the cutting line works but not smoothly.  I was unable to get it to release line on the grass.  I had to "bump" it on the driveway to get it to release.   I
