Hula A Free Online Video Service

Apparently I have been living in a cave again. I ran across Hula last night.
http://www.hulu.com/

It is another online video service and it is FREE. It has a lot of clips but it also has full length movies and series. The currently are featuring all six seasons of Highlander, a cult classic. There is a wide variety of material although quite a bit seems a somewhat off beat. Quality is good and again it is FREE.

They say about themselves that Hulu was founded in March 2007 by NBC Universal and News Corp and is operated independently by a dedicated management team. Hulu's mission is to help people find and enjoy the world's premium video content when, where and how they want it. Hulu is an online video service that offers hit TV shows, movies and clips at Hulu.com and other online destination sites — all for free, anytime in the U.S. Hulu brings together a large selection of videos from more than 50 content providers, including FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros. and more. Users can watch current primetime TV such as The Simpsons and The Office the morning after they air, classics like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Married...with Children, movies like The Usual Suspects and The Big Lebowski, and clips from Saturday Night Live and other popular TV shows and movies.

Check it out, I am sure you will find something to entertain you and it is FREE.

Samsung FlipShot-ho hum

I just got the Samsung FlipShot aka SCH-U900. If you haven’t noticed by now, I am very family oriented, specifically focused on grandchildren. I frequently lament that I don’t have my camera on me. However, I always have my phone on me. Thusly I wanted a phone with a decent camera. The FlipShot comes close. Samsung claims it is a 3 megapixel camera with flash and zoom. The photos are not what I would consider decent from a digital camera but compared to my last phone/camera, they are much better. The phone has a slot for a micro sd memory card. I popped a 2gb card in there for saving my photos. I have not been able to find a way to default the photos to the memory card. You have to manually move them. I haven’t given up and perhaps in a software upgrade there will be a way to get them to the card without moving them manually. Getting them off of the phone is interesting. If you don’t buy Samsung’s charging/data cable, you can send them to yourself and get them on your pc that way. You
