Covid-19 For Kids is NOT Easy

Covid-19 is real.   It seems that statement should be ludicrous but sadly it isn’t.   There are still people who deny that the pandemic is real.   Those people have brought pain to their survivors.   I have one relative who lost her father because he denied the existence of the pandemic, refused the shots when offered, and paid the ultimate price with his death.   His demise is unfortunate, the pain he has caused his daughter is unacceptable.   Face it, vaccinations save lives and pain.   Avoiding vaccination may condemn your loved ones to unbearable grief. The following narrative is from a friend of mine who spent the last several weeks dealing with a parent’s worse nightmare, the fear of losing a child.   This is unedited and heart-rending.   An unvaccinated caregiver is suspected to be the cause of this nightmare. I feel like we can BOTH finally breathe again and I am happy to have a week where I am not wearing puke in my hair. Now I'm getting tipsy on my first alcoholic

Cordless Hair Clipper Kit Rechargeable

This cuts just fine and I like the cordless aspect.  The only issue I could find was that the power cord is very difficult to plug into the unit for charging and does not feel secure even when it is in.  The plug has a flat spot and a notch on it to ensure that you  plug it in properly.  Even making sure that the notch is in the right place and the flat spot is where it belongs, it still does not plug in securely.  The unit charges or appears to do so even though the plug seems insecure.  The charging window indicates 290.  There is nothing in the instruction pamphlet to indicate what that means.  It says when fully charged the indicator light will blink and it may turn off.  I'm curious about the word "may" , should it turn off, is it bad if it doesn't turn off.  Use of the word "may" may cause concern.  This unit seems fine but a little more attention to the plug and the instructions would have given it the coveted five stars. Smishing USPS SCAM

Smishing scams are similar to phishing scams but using text messaging instead of emails to acquire your personal information.  We received a text message this morning claiming to be from the USPS  that informed us that our package delivery needed to be rescheduled and click on the link to reschedule.   Clicking on this link will take you “somewhere” not the USPS.  At that location, you will be asked for personal information to “verify” your rescheduling.  THIS IS A SCAM.  I’ve posted this warning as this is the first time I’ve personally seen this scheme.

Teccpo Cordless Drill

This drill has substantially more torque than my previous cordless drill.  I honestly don't know if it is the 20v vs. 12v but it is more powerful.  I like that it comes with two batteries and a wealth of tips.  It has a nice feel to it.  I am surprised the warranty is only 6 months.  That is the only detriment I can see. From the vendor: 【Brushless Motor & Max 530In-lbs Torque】 High performance brushless motor optimizes drill's efficiency. Kiku's Quest by William G. Bentrim, FREE Kindle version on Amazon on April 7, 2021

I finally finished my novel.  The only good thing I found about the pandemic is I had the time to sit down and type the 90K+ words to finish the book.  I’ve read Sci-Fi since I could read.  I wrote my first Sci-Fi short story on a tiny portable typewriter I won for selling greeting cards. The thousands of books I have read have primed me to write this one.   It took me ten years of perseverance to get the darn thing done.  I can only hope that Volume II won’t take as long.   With the pace of technology, if I take too long it will be science fact and not fiction.  Kiku is a recessive gen-engineered warrior living on the tough streets of a fringe planet barely out of restricted status. Unbeknownst to Kiku is the wealth of abilities lying within her, waiting for the right trigger to bring her potential to full bloom. Gen-engineered warriors are long forgotten, banned remnants of a galactic-wide dictatorship long since defunct. Kiku’s quest is hardly noble; her quest is mere survival! Li
