Nelson 2 in 1 Pre-Set Water Timer 56606 and 56607 Useless Warranty

Update: I first reviewed the 56606 and after two years it died. In 2016 I got two more of the 56607 model and one of them died in 6 months. I have tried to get warranty support to no avail.

I would strongly AGAINST advise buying one of these timers due to the companies dis-interest in customer support.

I like my flowers but sometimes when I travel they are neglected. I hate to bug the neighbor kid or one of my own grown kids to come and water my flowers. I found this on Amazon and it did the trick.

I am never sure how many stars to give a product. This time did exactly what I wanted. It was easy to bypass when I needed the hose and it kept my plants hydrated when I was out of town. It does not feel beefy so I treated it with care and it did exactly what I wanted. I recommend the product. It was $24.99 at Amazon.

Flowers survived travel and grandchildren (no timer needed for kid)

Samsung FlipShot-ho hum

I just got the Samsung FlipShot aka SCH-U900. If you haven’t noticed by now, I am very family oriented, specifically focused on grandchildren. I frequently lament that I don’t have my camera on me. However, I always have my phone on me. Thusly I wanted a phone with a decent camera. The FlipShot comes close. Samsung claims it is a 3 megapixel camera with flash and zoom. The photos are not what I would consider decent from a digital camera but compared to my last phone/camera, they are much better. The phone has a slot for a micro sd memory card. I popped a 2gb card in there for saving my photos. I have not been able to find a way to default the photos to the memory card. You have to manually move them. I haven’t given up and perhaps in a software upgrade there will be a way to get them to the card without moving them manually. Getting them off of the phone is interesting.
